Upcoming Work Days:
- September 18, 2021 (Meet at Liberty Bible at 8:00 am to carpool)
Our Faith Promisees are making a difference nearby as well as around the world. We have undertaken to assist The Bridge in Stevenson to rebuild their church. We are helping both by sending resources and Work & Witness teams.
The Bridge Community Church (TBCC) is located in beautiful Stevenson, WA. Pastor Steve and his wife Erin, with their 2 teenage children, have been serving the community for 4+ years. Their building was originally built in the early 1900's, and had some challenges that forced them to meet in a school building .... until COVID closed that facility. At the same time, the Lord gave Pastor Steve a vision to reclaim the church building, and so began a journey of faith.
Liberty Bible Church has a long history of partnering to support global missions. We also have a heart to connect locally and serve our community. The District Superintendent shared the opportunity to partner and support TBCC with Pastor Larry and Pastor Larry shared that with the church board. The board unanimously agreed to support TBCC with financial and "hands-on" support. Liberty Bible was in a position to support The Bridge Community Church becuase of your generous giving to Faith Promise.
In late June, a few people went to worship and meet with Pastor Steve, Eric and the TBCC church family. It was clear God's spirit was alive in this church and there was an immediate connection! We identified a few key projects to support which are needed so TBCC can get an occupancy permit for the building. First, an open stairwell to the basement needed to be framed and walled off. Second, an old office needed to be torn down and new walls built for restrooms. On Aug 15th, Mark Dahl, Doug Kempf, Rod Hergert, Jim Hestand, and JT Smith Liberty went to Stephenson to lend a hand.
While we have a good start on these projects, there is still much more to be done! This is your opportunity to serve our neighbors. You can use the form below to connect with JT Smith to let us know if you'd like to help!
